The Low Countries comprise the Netherlands (Holland), Belgium and Luxemburg (known sometimes under the acronym BeNeLux). The main languages are Dutch (and its regional variant called Flemish in Belgium), French in southern Belgium and German in the easternmost fringe of Belgium and in Luxemburg.
