The ‘mystery black buskin’ boppin’ ted’

First spotted in Harlow town centre in May 2017, the ‘mystery black buskin’ boppin’ ted’ for want of a better name sets up his sound system and gets down to bopping. The person who shot this clip wrote: ‘I came across this wonderful guy in Harlow, in Essex. I tried to talk to him, but he just could not stop bopping. And why not? :)’. Doing his own thing, harming no-one and procuring pleasure to many; that’s just the kind of attitude and guts that’ll get teds noticed again.

Our good friend Allen Hopper caught him recently again, this time supplying the music to the teds participating in the teddy boy walk and pub crawl in Colchester, June 9 2017. Here he is dancing alongside an excellent display of bopping by teds outside the Colchester Roman fort. Rock on! Wish we were there …
