2019 A Greaser isn’t quite the same as a Rockabilly

Here’s a long introspection by *the Madman from Long Beach, south of Los Angeles, about the difference between being a greaser and rockabilly. The Madman graduated from high school in 2007 which means that he was born around 1979.

Early to mid-90s there were “Rebels” in LA. No pomp’s just slicked back hair, plucked thin eyebrows, and Levi’s with slits on each sides of the bottom of their jeans (No Cuffs) and shitty work boots. Lol pretty damn bad.

There was everything you said, and there was pomps, cuffed jeans. That was my time, 1990 was the first rebel party scenes around. Especially here in the Inland Empire. Im still like that to this day. It wasn’t a fad for me, it was a life style. 4th generation greaser/Rebel here!

“plucked eyebrows” WTF? Lipstick and silk underwear too?
Seems right: In www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv0BFFvxSgc [at 8:14] *the Madman associates the Rebels with the 1990s and the Greasers woth the 2000s.
